Georgia's Unique County Route Signs

Did you know that Georgia has numbered county routes?

You probably would not know the numbers unless you either saw them on a Georgia DOT-published county road map or on a long vertical green sign mounted behind a stop sign. Here's an example from Tift County...

This photo I had taken, plus 3 more such photos from fellow Georgia road enthusiast John Krakoff, can be found on a new special feature page, the Georgia County Route Sign Gallery.

As we gather more pictures of Georgia's unique brand of county route markers from locales across the state, we will post them accordingly.

John, thank you very, very much for your contributions to this project.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading, visiting the new gallery, and please visit often.
