County Route Identity Crisis?

This entry was posted on 5/11/2007 7:08 PM and is filed under uncategorized.

This past week, our "man on the road", John Krakoff, sent me several new county route pictures from northeast Georgia.

The most interesting one involves No Where Road, a local road that runs off GA 326 and straddles the Banks/Franklin County line.

Here is a "snapshots" I took from the Georgia DOT Banks County map, which shows No Where Road...

Now here's a "snapshot" of the same road from the GDOT Franklin County map, showing it numbered as CR 414...

Here is a photo of the Franklin County streetsign with "CR 414"...

... and finally, the Banks County route marker behind the stop sign...

And there you have it, folks... No Where Road, a.k.a. "Banks CR 64" and "Franklin CR 414".

The rest of the county route signs will be posted to our County Route Sign Gallery in the near future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed this "county route identity crisis" moment.

That's it for now. Thanks again for visiting and reading and please come back again.
