This afternoon after work, I stopped by the Georgia DOT's District 7 office in Chamblee and picked up 2 copies of the 2007-2008 official Georgia highway map (large print edition).

Here are the new features...

- Dots for the new North Fulton cities of Milton and Johns Creek.
- Limited access toll roads are marked in yellow.
- Colleges and Universities (including technical colleges) are now marked.

... and here are the errors I have found...

- US 27/GA 1 in Floyd and Chattooga Counties shows a section of 4-lane divided highway (which has been there for at least 7 years), but the map erroneously shows this highway as being divided for at least 5 miles further north/west than it actually is. (The 4-lane divided highway narrows back to 2 just yards before you reach Gore-Subligna Road in the Gore community.) Here is the scan of that section, along with my remarks...

- In Augusta-Richmond County, I-520/GA 415 is showing as a red limited-access route (color for non-Interstate freeways) from Exit 10 to the Savannah River, where it abruptly stops. It should not only be green, but also show as extending just inside of South Carolina and ending at US 1/78 in North Augusta (Exit 17). Please click here to see the scan and the comments I marked on it.

And now, for something completely different (with apologies to Monty Python)...

I have produced a new "ROADGEEK-CAM!!!" episode I titled "Sunday Slowdown". Please click here to view it.

... and here are links to a couple of road videos that I found recently on YouTube...

I-285 Atlanta Runway Tunnel (By "FreewayJim")

"I-75 Rush" In Cincinatti (By "specialkvi")

That's it for now. Thanks for your visit, hope you enjoy the videos, and please come back often.
