Kari Byron of the Discovery Channel show "Mythbusters" is really HOT IMHO.... and so is the Atlanta area and most of Georgia, for that matter. But Kari is much sexier.

Now that I have your undivided attention, here's some news from the Georgia DOT (GDOT)...

According to an article in the latest Atlanta Journal-Constitution, GDOT was to have turned on the new GA 400 entrance ramp traffic lights on Wednesday, but decided to delay it due to Monday's start of the school year in Fulton County. Please click here to read the article.

I have had a few readers e-mail me questions regarding those new lights, which have been there for several months, and I, too, have been curious.

To see what I could find out, I had e-mailed GDOT at least a couple of times, but they had never responded. Oh, well, I guess they had better things to do than respond to a citizen's question. If that's the case, then why the heck did they even put e-mail addresses on their website?!!!

Last weekend, as Mary and I traveled to her parents' farm in Chattooga County, I shot some footage of US 27/GA 1 for ROADGEEK-CAM!!! and found a "sign goof" in Canton. Here's the photo for y'all...

Last I remember, Cherokee County had 2 Interstate highways running through it, but no U.S. routes.... OOPS!!!

On the other side of the intersection, there was a "JCT US 5 Bus" sign goof, which, regretfully, I did not get a picture of it. Oh, well, I guess you can't have everything, can you.

I found a couple of other "sign goofs" around Alpharetta and I'll take pictures of them as soon as I can (assuming GDOT hasn't corrected them by now).

That's it for now. Thanks for reading, stay out of the heat, and please come back often.
