While in Florida last week, I shot several videos of the various highways and compiled them into a total of six (6) new episodes of "ROADGEEK-CAM!!!". Please click here to see them.
A very special thanks to my lovely wife Mary for allowing me to use the computer for a while. In return, I promised that I'll take her out for a nice dinner. Love ya, honey!!!
That's it for now. Hope y'all enjoy the new "ROADGEEK-CAM!!!" videos, thanks in advance for watching them, and please come back again.

If only I had known you were going to be in Florida!
My work sent me to Orlando back on 8/6 and I won't get to go back to Nashville till 8/31. It's been ok, certainly better weather than the 100+ degree days that Nashville is experiencing, but I can't really enjoy the Orlando attractions w/o my fiancee. Since I have the weekends off, I've been traveling down to my dad's condo in Ft. Myers to do laundry and visit with his friends.
One thing is for sure, August is definitely the time of year to visit Florida! The weather isn't too bad (as long as there isn't a hurricane coming), and the crowds are virtually non-existent.
Back in July, long before any of us knew I'd be here for all of August, I flew to Ft. Myers for a week with my fiancee and two of her friends, and we drove from there to Key West for an overnight stay. I really enjoyed driving US 1, and I didn't really get caught up in very much bad traffic with the exception of the stretch between Florida City and Key Largo, where they're reconstructing it to four lanes. I wonder what the time line is on finishing that stretch.
Anyway, it looks like you and your wife had a lot of fun on your trip! Maybe we'll both end up in FL at the same time next year! Reply to this
