1948 Ford Anglia at a car show in Alpharetta (Photo by Mary Williams).

Last night, Mary and I decided to go to The Varsity-Alpharetta for dinner.

Little did we know that we'd stumble upon a car show sponsored by the Alpharetta Rotary Club, our friend Marilyn from church (who is a Rotarian), and this gem of a car owned by a Dawsonville couple, Tracy and Chris (I forgot their last names).

Of all the cars that were on display there, this little British-built vehicle was the most intriguing and unique little gem that I just absolutely fell in love with. Under the hood, they installed a Ford Mustang engine, which IMHO makes it's a classic British car with classic American muscle... HOO-YEAH!!! It had me from the word "hello" and was truly a blue-ribbon gem in my book.

Here's a photo of me behind the wheel...

I wanted to learn a little bit more about the history of this British Ford import, so I "googled" the words "1948 anglia" and found this webpage explaining its history.

Many thanks to Tracy and Chris for letting me sit behind the wheel. God bless y'all!

Finally, please tune into The Georgia Road Geek On BlogTalkRadio.com at 5 PM Eastern time today to hear my interview with fellow road enthusiast Adam Prince. Adam has been very supportive of my roadgeeking efforts and I look forward to talking with him today on my show. I hope y'all will tune in and listen.

That's it for now. I have to go mow the grass and get some stuff done around the house. Thanks for reading and please come back again.
