According to the Forsyth County News...

Just a couple of days ago, the Georgia DOT (GDOT) was putting up new exit signs on US 19/GA 400 with milepost-based numbers... but they had to take them down and put the current sequential-based numbers back.

This afternoon, my wife Mary found the article in the paper and was saving it for me. At the time, I thought that my prediction from a previous blog was coming true. Well, it did, but it didn't... at least for now.

Eventually, GDOT will renumber the exits along 400, but not before they officially announce it ahead of time, just as they did before renumbering exits on the Interstates and the Athens Perimeter.

Finally, here's my latest video message...

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and watching and please come back often.

This does make sense, to change the sequential numbers to the mile-log system. It's easier and better for travel.

...Using mile markers for exit numbers is typically reserved for interstates, but Evans said since "everyone treats 400 as an interstate anyway, it's the right way to do it."

Which begs the question, which isn't it an Interstate anyway?

Touché, Roaddog, touché. On a similar note, Loop 10/Paul Broun Parkway (a non-interstate highway) is on the mile-log system.
