Recently, the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the various convention and visitors bureaus along US 19/GA 400 have created a new tourism campaign called the Hospitality Highway.

On a given regular workday, I know from personal experience that our beloved GA 400 is not exactly "hospitable" in terms of rush hour traffic (as seen in my "ROADGEEK-CAM!!!" video "GA 400 SUCKS!!!"), but if you overlook that fact and discover what is along the corridor from Sandy Springs to Dahlonega, there are some fairly hospitable and interesting things to find.

The University of Georgia's (UGA) New Media Institute (NMI) has produced podcasts featuring the various attractions you can find along the 400 corridor (NOTE: iTunes is required to download them). Please click here to access them.

This morning, my wife downloaded the podcasts and we watched them. IMHO, they were very well produced by the UGA NMI students and definitely present the 400 corridor in an extremely positive light. For a good overview, I recommend you first download and watch the 16-minute podcast titled "Hospitality Highway HD Video".

Kudos to the UGA NMI students for their excellent work and to you for reading and watching.

Y'all come back now, y'hear!!!
