This afternoon after work, I went to Dunwoody to meet up with Adam Prince, Joe Babiyak, Doug Kerr, and "Smilin'" John Krakoff.

Joe wanted to see The Big Chicken, so I led them all to this famous Georgia landmark... and they were all in total awe of this steel poultry behemoth!!!

Afterward, we got back in our vehicles and I led them to The Varsity at Town Center for their first Varsity meal experience. Again, all had such a wonderful time fellowshipping and enjoying some of that glorious, greasy, greasy Varsity food... especially them onion rings!!!

In a way, I wish more could've joined us on this "pre-meet" jaunt, but maybe in years to come, we can do it again.

Tomorrow at noon, we'll all be in Duluth to see the I-85/GA 316 construction.

Guys, thanks for coming to Atlanta and for letting me hang out with you. I look forward to seeing y'all tomorrow.

That's it for now. Thanks always for reading and please come back often.

P.S. Joe, this one's for you, dude...

Steve, I can't believe I've never mentioned this to you before, but I personally know the man who designed the Big Chicken! His name is Hubert Puckett, and he is a friend of the family. He was born and raised in Atlanta, got an engineering degree from GA Tech, worked for a few different companies designing metal buildings and other metal structures, and is now semi-retired in Ft. Myers, FL. He still has the drawings for the Big Chicken and everything! My dad met him when he lived in Nashville about a decade ago and our families have become close friends ever since.
