Last weekend, Mary and I went on a "whirlwind" roadtrip just south of Atlanta and north/west of Macon.

As a result, I "clinched" four (4) more Georgia counties... Jasper, Jones, Pike, and Upson.

Starting in Griffin, we headed down US 41/GA 7 to Barnesville, and from Barnesville, we drove down GA 36 into Thomaston, "clinching" Pike and Upson Counties in the process.

Please click here to see the Thomaston photo gallery I just created today.

From Thomaston, we headed up GA 36 back to Barnesville, and then took US 41 South/GA 18 East to Forsyth, where we stopped to take more photos.

From Forsyth, we headed up Juliette Road to Juliette, GA, where the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was filmed, and yes, y'all, we ate a plate of fried green tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. That and the rest of the food we had there was pretty good.

For a change, I decided to take a "railfan video" of a southbound Norfolk Southern freight train as it sped through Juliette. Here's the video...

Next time, we feature our stops in Monticello and Zebulon.

That's it for now. Thanks for visiting and please come back again.
