Tonight at 9 PM, the Georgia DOT (GDOT) will be adding new pavement markers to the HOV lane approaching the infamous HOV exit from I-75 southbound to Northside Drive in Northwest Atlanta. Please click here to read the AJC article.

Newer MUTCD-standard HOV signage is to be installed sometime later next year, but in the meantime, it'll be interesting to see how this "patch" goes.

Since Mary and I are getting ready to head up to her in-laws' place in Chattooga County for a family reunion, this blog's a short one.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and please visit often.

All of the HOV signs look alike, if you aren't paying attention to them. A lot of signage on freeways, expressways and other Georgia roads are inadequate; however, GDOT and other local DOTs can do so much. It comes down to driver's attention to the road, and not their cell phones -- and any other thing not related to driving.
