What's Wrong With This Big Green Sign?

Check out the sign below and see if you can figure out what's wrong...

Above photo taken by Russell Wells and posted on
Facebook. I hope he doesn't mind my borrowing it for this blog.

This particular sign, which is located on the Harry S. Truman Parkway in Savannah, has the right state route, the right street name, and the proper distance to the exit in question... but take a look at the "e" in "Whitefield".
According to Savannah-area resident and fellow roadgeek Russell Wells, the "e" was added due to the protest of the Whitefield family.
It was good of GDOT to change the sign to the street name's proper spelling, but couldn't've the worker(s) who made the fix gotten an "e" of the same font used for the rest of the word?
Again, I hope that Russell doesn't mind me "borrowing" the photo, but I was so intrigued by it that I just
had to share it with all my readers.
On the week of Memorial Day, Mary and I will take yet another roadtrip, starting with a storytelling gig Mary has booked in Florida for a school group. The "roadgeek goals" include "clinching" more counties and interstates. Please stay tuned to "The Georgia Road Geek" blog and
Twitter page for more details. Russell, I look forward to meeting you in Savannah during this roadtrip.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading and please come back often.
