The purpose of the trip was for Mary to tell children's stories at the festival, but being the roadgeek that I am, I also snapped some road pics, which you can see in the following galleries...
At the festival, I met local caricature artist Dave Helwig, who not only does personal caricatures, but also has an impressive portfolio of Georgia Bulldog caricature art. To see Mr. Helwig's work and learn more about how you can book him to do caricatures at your event, please visit the Dave Helwig Art website. To see his caricature of me, please click here.
Next week, Mary and I will be hitting the road for the 2009 Tri-State Memorial Day Roadtrip. On this roadtrip, I plan to "clinch" several more counties and Interstates, plus (if possible) shoot some more video footage for "ROADGEEK-CAM!!!".
Where will we be going and what new counties and Interstates will I be "clinching"? It's for me to know and you to find out. All you have to do is stay tuned to this blog, my Facebook group, and my "roadgeek tweets" on Twitter.
That's it for now. Thanks to Mr. Helwig for doing my caricature and to y'all for reading. Please come back again soon.
P.S. To learn more about my wife's storytelling, please visit her website, Mary's Fun Stories.
