Yesterday, thanks to a posting on the Yahoo! "Roadgeek" group, I discovered a new "make your own quiz" website called Sporcle.

One of the quizzes challenges you to name the U.S. cities based on which Interstate highways cross through them. When I took it, I got 22 out of 25 right.

After taking this quiz, I decided to create my own Sporcle account (free BTW) and put together my very first "roadgeek quiz".

Can you name Georgia's cities based on the U.S. Highways that cross through them? If you are up to the challenge, then please click here and best of luck to you.

In other news, Georgia DOT (GDOT) announced that it will no longer require contractors to place the "Putting America Back To Work" signs at any project receiving Federal stimulus funds. Please click here to read the article from The Augusta Chronicle.

In the days before the Internet, it might not have been such a bad idea to place such signs for informational purposes, but it is a whole lot cheaper to publish the information on the web. To find out which Georgia road projects are receiving Federal stimulus funds, please click here.

Finally, here's a classic 1970s song that has just been added to the "roadgeek iPod"...

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and please come back again.
