For the first time in several days, Mary and I finally got out of our house, therefore we, your friends at GRG HQ in Metro Atlanta, hereby officially declare "Snowmageddon 2011" (or whatever you want to call Metro Atlanta/North Georgia's biggest snow/ice SNAFU in at least a decade) as "done". Make that "THANK GOD IT'S OVER!!!"
We headed down to Milton/Alpharetta to do some shopping and ate a great meal at the Cracker Barrel (the official country cookin' restaurant of "The Georgia Road Geek") to celebrate our freedom.
Weatherwise, the temperature had gotten up to about 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius), which was practically a tropical heatwave compared to the freezing temps we had over most of the past week.
Last Saturday, just a day before snow started falling, I filmed a video of Metro Atlanta's Northwest and Northeast Expressways (I-85 and I-75, respectively) and spent some of my unexpected "snowcation" time producing the final product.
This afternoon (Saturday), I got it uploaded to the GRG YouTube channel and here it is...
That's it for now. Thanks for reading and watching and please come back often.
